KEIGER ADMITTED to BAIL -- KEIGER, alias DAVIS, recently arrested at Sonora for a murder at Marysville in 1850, has had a hearing on habeas corpus, before Judge Bliss, at the latter place, and been admitted to bail, after giving bonds in the sum of [illeg]. F.L. AUD, J.O. GOODWIN -- prosecuting attorney in KEIGER's trial and 1 of the present counsel for accused -- Dr. D.W.C. RICE, E.C. ROSS, G.H. BEACH and S.B. MULFORD, testified as to the killing of MILLS, having witness it, and though each was certain in his own mind that the accused is the murderer of MILLS, not one was willing to swear positively as to his identity.
