Hi
My husband is a descendant of both Teunis Gulick and Hope Mills.Teunis had a son, Isaac Hulick who married the granddaughter of Hope Mills.
We do not know who the wife of Hope was, or when he died.Hope Mills paid taxes in Columbia twp. in 1796 and in March 1799 when he wasliving at Red Bank Station. According to the "Freeman's Journal" Hope Mills reported he was living at Red Bank Station and had found a heifer that strayed from his owner.Hope, William, Thomas, and a John R. Mills are listed in 1809 Hamilton Co., Tax lists.
Hope owned land in Hamilton Co., Ohio.On May 25, 1801, John Cleves sold land to Nathaniel Twewilleger. The land is described as situated in Sec. 3, in Twp. 4, (Sycamore Twp., JH) and adjoins John Gaston's 100 acres and the lands Mr. Terwilleger bought from Hope Mills. (Deed Book E-2, p. 595) So we know that Hope was in Hamilton Co., before 1801. He is listed in the 1811 tax roll list.
We think that Hope had sons, Thomas, b. 1760, Peter b.c. 1770, and Amos b.c. 1759 and possibly Edward and John. As I said before Peter and Amos married daughters of Teunis and Maria Gulick.
To see what I have, please check my submission to the WorldConnect project at

You can also see my listing of the Gulick families there.I have listed my sources and other notes, including transcriptions of deeds, etc.
I need to update the file; but at least this will give you some ideas.
Joyce
