I don't know if you have read the following message that I posted recently but I have always been aware of an Australian connection although nothing concrete. The London/Surrey location ties in with what little I know about my self. If you can make any connection I would appreciate it. My original posting follows:

Robert Millis was/is my father (3129214 Private Royal Scots Fusiliers). He was Married to Elizabeth Harriet Phoebe Millis, formerly Pepperel who gave birth to me on 19 March 1946. I was put up for adoption and was adopted in 1949. All I know was that he was serving in the Royal Scots Fusiliers when I was born as his number rank and name appear on my birth certificate. The Army records Office at Hayes Middlesex can offer no information as I have tried. They were living in and at 47 Addison Gardens Surbiton Surrey England at this time. Any information or clues would be gratefully received.
