Fred: I have a notation of 1855 Clark County, IL census of Millis, Sanford, Clark 142. There is also listed in the 1860 Clark Co census Millis, Joseph Clark Co 290 and Millis, Jas(?) (38), Clark Co 290 with listed underneath Sarch (40), Jno (16), Wm (11-15( and Mary (12-13).
Also, Ill. Civil War Records list Millis, Sanford, Pr, Co C 62 Inf V4 P251.
You might also try LDS records - they list a Sanford Millis (1822) Sp Sarah Phillips, and there might be something else available.
We've done a lot of searching in other Ill counties, but that's all I had regarding Sanford Millis.

Good luck, DOTTIE
