Marcia, Yes, I think there is a connection. There were two Millis families in Luzerne, Warren Co. New York in 1880: Isaac Millis and Priscilla and their 5 children on p. 114A and Joseph Millis and Agiline and their 6 children on p. 115D. Napoleon and Mary Hagan Casley were living in Luzerne also p. 121C. There was a daughter, Elizabeth Casley 6M with the Casleys at that time, but she died in 1888 and another daughter, Anna P. was b. Nov. 1881 who married George A. Millis about 1908. By 1910 Napoleon Casley had died, but Mary Casley (widow) was living with her daughter, Anna P. and George Millis who was listed as a boarder, but according to the record Anna had been married two years, and Mary Millis was age 5/12. They were in Ft. Edward, Washington Co., NY in 1910 and 1920. In 1930 George A. was working as a salesman in a clothing store in Schenectady, NY still listed as Married and Anna and Mary Millis are listed as living in Ft. Edward, Washington Co., NY living with Mary Casley. Anna is a fore lady in a shirt factory and Mary Millis is a waitress. It seems like George must have commuted from Ft. Edward to Schenectady. I believe George A. Millis is a grandson of one of the two families living in 1880 in Luzerne (son of perhaps, Amory, Levy or Jason (sons of Joseph and Angiline) or grandson of Isaac and Priscilla (Ray, George, Fred or Albert). I haven't found George A. b. 1884 in 1900, so don't know who his father was and I don't know exactly where he was living. On the 1930 census it gave a middle name starting with "A" for George (I think it was Adellpt, but couldn't read it very well. Elsewhere, his initial was plainly an "A". So he's not your George H., but I think he's connected to your Millis line. I will try to follow this up, but could take awhile as 1900 census isn't indexed.
