Thank you for the information John, sorry that I haven't been back here for a while, we have been busy with house renovations! In the meantime, my cousin in England has managed to get a copy of my Grandparents Marriage License for me, so I now have the name of my Great Grandfather Milliner. His name was James William Milliner. It appears that my Grandfather was born in Bishopston, Bristol, in the registration district of Barton Regis. Now perhaps I can find more information. I also found that there is a local FHC here in Ottawa. I will seek their assistance.
