I'm looking for information on Israel Milliken of Belfast, Peters Hill area. He was involved in the 1798 Irish rebellion, voted with the United Irish Party,was a linen manufacturer, but converted his factory into public baths,and erected the first illuminating gas plant in Belfast. I believe he had a brother, maybe Ezekial?, and a sister Violet, who married a Lind. Violet and her husband had at least one child, Mary Jane Lind, who was born in Belfast in 1800.
Any information on Israel or Violet would be much appreciated!
