John Millhouse could be involved with the ferry. It depends upon the date. John Sr. died 1795. Or it could be John Jr. It could be that brothers of John Sr. or John Jr. had sons John who were involved with the ferry. I saw SLEIGH spelled different ways - one was "Slee". I also saw many cases where an older and a younger John Millhouse did surveys of tracts in the Kershaw/Barnwell/Lancaster area. I haven't identified any RUSSELL relatives of Elizabeth Russell Milhous in SC. The Milhous family in PA stem from Thomas Milhous (brother of the SC Robert Milhous), who arrived in PA in 1729.
