Robert,

I have visited your website and found it to be a great site. What I wanted to ask you was are you sure that the Anna Stewart who married John Milhouse (my line) is the right Anna Stewart who was the sister to your Allen?

I ask because I found a transcribed copy of the complete passenger list for the Jupiter of Larne. The ship docked in Wilmington NC on 9/5/1775. John Milhous' Anna was b. 1772 in SC, three years before the ship docked. On the passenger list, it shows three families from Apine (Appin), Scotland (and two Stewart families and one single Stewart male from Glenurchy, Scotland)

The families from Appin, Scotland are listed as:

Allen Stewart age 44 (b. 1731) late Lieutenant in Frasers Regiment with a servant, Donald Carmichail(Carmichael) age 22 and Allen's daughter, Lilly age 7 (no wife)

Alexander Stewart age 35 (b. 1740) gentleman farmer
with his son, Charles Stewart age 15 (b. 1760) (no wife)

Kenneth Stewart age 40, late ship master (b. 1735) and his wife Isobel, sons Alexander age 14( b. 1761), John age 5 (1770), son Banco age 3 (1772) daughter Christian age 3(1772) and an infant son, William

If you would like a copy of the complete listing, the URL is http://home.triad.rr.com/clancarmichael/immigrant.html

Anna that married John Milhouse would have to have been born in Ireland, instead of SC to be this Alexander's daughter and she was not shown as a passenger on the Jupiter.

Do you have some documentation that corrects her date/place of birth? If so, I would love to have it, as this Stewart line has to be one of my more frustrating lines! lol
