Looking for information on George Nelson Miller 1882
Brian Miller 4/26/12
He is on the 1910 federal census for Fifth Street, Palisade (13th Precinct), Mesa Co, Colorado, as a 28 yo farmer b KS with father also b KS and mother's birthplace illegible, married for 3 years, along with 26 yo wife Lee b MO and 2 yo son Ralph b KS.The indexer for HeritageQuest misread George's middle initial, but I read it as a clear N.The family appears on microfiche series T624 Roll 122 page 194 subpage B line 33.
I wonder whether he is the one in Wyandotte Co KS for the 1900 census.
He is apparently the George who is on the 1920 census for 3rd Precinct, 2nd Ward, Cheyenne, Laramie Co, WY, with second wife Martha at 1221-1/2 E. 20th St.Although it is difficult to read, it looks as though he works in some capacity at the railroad depot? or shop? This is on Series T625 Roll 2027 page 95 Subpage B line 80.He is listed underneath several machinists for the railroad, so possibly they live near the railroad.
It would help to know the ages of his siblings and his sister's married name, and where they lived. The names of their children would be good to have as well. The ability to find him is being stymied by the unavailable 1900 census, so you have to use every means that you can to find what you need by searching hard for his siblings.
I have access to some search engines, so please let me know if I can help.I research Millers who were in Warrick Co, IN, and only saw your message by accident, but there is nothing to tie your Miller to mine except the middle name "Nelson", so I do not suspect a relationship. But I know what it is to be stuck, and I will help you if I can.
