John Miller d. Benton County, Missouri md Mary Carver
I found this information in the Morman Records.
John Miller b. 1811 in Kentucky and died Benton County, Missouri married Mary Carver b. 1815 Old Franklin County, Missouri. The parents of John Miller were: William H. Miller and Rebecca Meyers b. abt 1784 in Kentucky.
Does anyone know if Mary Carver was Cherokee Indian?
Was John Miller or William H. Miller Cherokee Indian?
My gr gr grandfather John Miller was b. in Kentucky in 1811. He married Mary b. 1811 in Kentucky. Their children were:
Milly A. b. 1837 IA md Levi Walker, Margaret E. b. 1836 in IA, Sarah A. b. 1840 in IA, Mary Catherine b. Oct 23, 1845 in Hickory County, MO (my gr grandmother) md Lawrence Banister, and Clarissa b. 1847/48 Hickory, MO.
These children were 1/2 Cherokee Indian.
Other records claim William Miller d. Feb 8, 1902 md Rebecca Lusk or Myers Feb 21, 1847 Benton, Missouri. If he was abt 20 at the time, it would put his birthday at c. 1825. To young to be the father of John Miller b. 1811, but he could be a younger brother.
I know Benton County, Missouri was formed in 1835 from parts of St.Clair and Pittis County, It was formally organized in 1837. How close to this is Hickory County, MO? Hickory County, MO was formed in 1845 according to my research. Would love to here from anyone with information on these people. Would like to verify information.
