Hey Marti,
The 1930 census, Northport, Tuscaloosa, Alabama shows:
Miller, William...45...mar. at 31...born Alabama...farmer
wife Bessie.......32...mar. at 18...........Alabama
sonCecil..........13...........................Alabama
dauAnnie L......10...........................Alabama
sonHoyet.........09...........................Alabama
sonBuford........07...........................Alabama
dauRuth...........06...........................Alabama
dauMildred.......3 9/12.......................Alabama
William Robert is not listed, perhaps he was born later. Both William and Bessie's parents, according to this census, were also born in Alabama.
Just as a side note there is a Bessie Marlow in the 1900 census (Coker, Tuscaloos, Alabama) who is the right age to be this Bessie. Her parents were Arther and Minnie Marlow, both 22.
I am not related, but came across your query while looking for a whole other Miller clan.Hope this helps.
Happy Hunting,
Terry
