Millers in early GA
While searching documents regarding my Miller ancestral line family in & near the following three Georgia counties [Paulding, Cobb, & Walton Counties] [Unknown Miller married Ann, their known children: James Miller, Wm. B. Miller, Diniah E. Miller & Hugh H. Miller.] the following records were located. They do not seem to belong to my line, however some sequential dates indicate that they may well be linked themselves. Hope the data is of benefit to another Miller family researcher. Also see- Slave schedule.[3] Henry Miller, 1 boy >60 & < 70 yrs, 1 girl <50 & >60 yrs.,1 girl >10 & <15.[4] Samuel Miller 1 boy >30 & <40, 1 girl >20 & <30; also see- 1850 District #88, Walton Co., GA census.[5] Benjamin Miller, 1 boy <5 yrs, 1 boy >20 & <30, 1 girl < 5yrs, 1 girl <10 yrs, 1 girl > 20 & <30..."ALSO: From the GA Division of Archives & History:1820 Walton County, GA Land Lottery-[1] John Miller of Montgomery County, Georgia drew lot 238 in district 1 of Walton County, Georgia;[2] Preston Miller of Hall County, Georgia drew lot 3 in district 137 of Walton County, Georgia.Also from the Georgia Division of Archives & History:..."Most of Cobb County [Georgia] came out of the 1832 Cherokee Gold Lottery.In this lottery...,[1] Goodwin/Godwin Miller of Walton County, Georgia drew lot 230, district 12, section 1 & lot 896, district 17, section 2.[2] Henry Miller of Walton County, Georgia drew lot 366, district 1, section 3 & lot 703, district 2, section 4. These are the only two Millers in the 1832 Cherokee Gold lottery from Walton County, Georgia...."
