YOUNG OHIO COUPLE WEDDED
Refused in Newport, They got a license in Covington.
S. W. Miller and Gertie Erwin, both of Coschocton, O., were married in Newport Saturday morning by Squire Donelan.the young couple called at the Clerks' office in Newport, and were refused a license on account of the ages of both, which was 18.The clerk told them they would have to get the consent of their parents, and the pair started to the telegraph office to get consent by wire.After traveling through the city for some time they were made wiser and told to go to Covington and there give the age as 21, which they did, and secured the license.The father of the bride is a minister at Coschocton, O.
