Elizabeth Milliar b.1829 Northern Ireland, That's all the information about the Milliar branch of my tree that I have. When Elizabeth died in 1906, no one knew the names of her parents, other than her father had been a crofter.
In 1848 Elizabeth was living in Glasgow as that is where she got married. She lived the rest of her life in Dumfriesshire, Scotland.
I think her parent's might have died in the Famine and she emigrated by herself to Scotland, but that is just speculations.
Does anybody know of any Milliars in Northern Ireland at that time who may have been crofters?
