======================================= Source: HISTORY OF WYOMING CO., NY BY: F. W. BEERS, 1880 ======================================= Robert Bruce Millar was born in Bennington, VT, in 1814. Less then two years later he came with his parents to Pembroke, Genesee Co.,NY. In 1838 he came to Cowlesville, NY and was the second man in the town who did wagon making and repairing. He retired from business in May, 1863. His son, Robert H. Bruce Millar, is now in the same line of business. Mr. Millar was formerly a captain in the Wyoming County militia, and he has been elected overseer of the poor, highway commissioner and justice of the peace, having held the last named office two terms. He was married in 1840 to ELIZA McBAIN, of Albany,N.Y.. The younger Millar was married in 1865 to OLIVIA CHESEBRO, of Erie Co., NY. --------------------------------------------- I am not researching this family. I have no further information to provide.
