Hello Richard - I saw your post and thought I would write. Although you do not list any of my direct ancestors, many of the surnames are the same as mine. If not directly related, we are probably cousins of some sort!! I have been going through microfilms for Paisley church records and have seen the same names repeated and mingled over and over.

Paisley family names we have in common are:

MILLAR - Mary Millar born about 1773 married Peter Taylor October 17, 1794, High Paisley, Renfrew, Scotland. Their children were Catherine, Mary, William, Jean

ADAM - William Adam married Anne Cleland April 10, 1793, High Church, Paisley. Children: Ann, Mary, Peter, William, Marion, Mary

ROBERTSON - Elizabeth Robertson and James Barclay had son, William, June 20, 1792, Paisley

GOLD - Peter Taylor McLagan and Catherine Ferrie had a son Henry Gold McLagan Nov 2, 1825, Paisley

Wish there was some way to tell how everyone is connected!
