Hi...was your James in the mariner business? Our William Anderson MILLAR was the son of William MILLAR who was a surgeon and "served" (who or whatever) in the West Indies. He had a son named James as well as William Anderson. Both James and William A. were in the "mariner" business...William was a Captain but don't know what James did...he may have been a Captain also.Bot James and William died young in ship-at-sea or in-port accidents.William in 1895 off Glasgow( I have the info in a letter) and James in New York. I don't know if these two fellows were born in Scotland, England, or West Indies! The Elder MILLAR retired in 1860 and settled back in Glasgow. His wife, the mother of William and James was Mary STRUTHERS.My William A. died in 1895 at age 42.He was a widower when he married my Great Great Grandmother, Fanny Venables LEA in 1888.
