Mike, I am interested in the McHoland spelling of the name I have always thought was Millholland. I have some data from the Annals of Bath County Va. Thomas Millholland was in the Militia List of John Bollar - Jackson's River, below the Bottetourt line (1783) Also listed was William McClintic and Peter Wright. William McClintic was married to Nancy Shanklin and it was mentioned that two of his daughters married Millholland.According to McClintic familly history, his daughter Jane (she died before 1801) married Thomas Millholland and daughter Nancy married Patrick, brother of Thomas. The McClintic history says thaat he owned no property and that about the only record left of the man is the several lawsuits in which he was involved. The Commonwealth brought suit against him, just before he and his daughter Sarah, born ca 1779, and her husband Jeremiah Sims moved to Champaisn Co. OH. When Clark Co was formed from Champaign in 1817 they were enumerated as being in Clark Co.There was a Thomas Millholland born Va before 1798 who married Maratha Wright, daughter of Peter Wright, 5 Mar 1817. His family was in Boone County, MO where he died in 1834. His family was Martha, widow, William, born 1818 Va. Peter, 1820, Nancy Jane, 1821, Mary 1826, Sarah, 1827 Betsy 1827, Washington 1832. I found all of this because I am looking for the parents of my John Millholland born in Va and who was in Christian Co., Ky in 1808 when he married Martha Ann(Patsy) Wood By 1830 he was in Miller Co., MO
