Amanda Milburn 1880 Baltimore census (and John H. and Margaret)
Posted by: Larry Marshburne (ID *****9274) Date: December 06, 2002 at 11:15:36

I am looking for the husband of widow Amanda Milburn, 34, who, in the 7th Ward, Precinct 4, Baltimore, Baltimore, Md., 1880 census, was living with her son John H., 12, and daughter Margaret, 5.

Amanda's husband would have died about 1875-79.

They might be the Amanda V. Price and T. H. Milburn who married 5/22/1862, stated in the Baltimore Sun. (That would make her about a 16-year-old bride.)

Our resources in N.C. have little Maryland information after 1870, and I can't locate this family in the 1870 census.

The son John H[enry] is my wife's GGrandfather.

We would be much obliged if someone would check the 1875-79 Baltimore death records (church or newspaper?), or otherwise help. (Our line of descendents is Episcopalian.)

Thanks, Larry
