My grandfather:

Joseph Mikesh, born 31 Jul 1864, Radnovice, Moravia, to parents, Josef Mikesh and Anna Dvorakova, born respectively 7 Mar 1835, Radnovice, Moravia, and 21 Jul 1835, Buhonove, Moravia. Children of Josef and Anna: Josefu, Joseph, Emilie, Anna, Karolina, Frank.

In May 1892, Joseph immigrated to Montreal, Canada, to Duluth, MN, 29 May 1892, via Canadian Railway. In the 1900 Federal Census, he is in Racine, WI, a lodger in the home of Josef and Nettie Svoboda, who were born in Bohemia in 1863 and 1860.

On 8 Feb 1902, Racine, WI, Josef Mikesh married Aloisia (Rousar) Mikulecky, widow of Wencil Mikulecky, who had six children: Mary M.; Mark; Frances Sarah, Wencil "Jim" Layton: Louise V., Charles James. Joseph and Aloisia had two children: Anna Arlene and Alice Myrene.

Josef and Alouisia and family lived in Caledonia, WI, until the Fall of 1912 when the moved to homestead at Black Coulee, MT.

Note: I believe the grandparents of Joseph Mikesh were Franz Mikes' and Josefa Libra. Joseph was the only family member to immigrate.

Would be happy to find family ties.
