All of Jane Freeman Shropshire and Joseph Shropshires children were their own. They married and stayed married until they died. You can find them living in 1870 in St. Louis, Mo. with Jane's mother Mary Irene (rene) Freeman. Jane and her mother were weavers and worked in the St. Louis mills. They came from Georgia after 1866 when the father Isham Hughes Goard Freeman died. They went to Memphis, Tn to work in the mill there but the mill burned down and so they continued on to St. Louis, mo.
