I have compiled alot of information on this family but so far I have not been able to find out where in Germany this family came from. They were in Canada in 1848 and family stories say that they came in 1845. The members of this family were -- Gotfried Mier abt 1801-1857 wife Anna Katherina Suhn/Luhn abt 1799-1885, sons Justus 1823-1900, William 1826-1911, John Henry 1831-1904, and Michael Mier 1841-1883, daughter Elizabeth Massel Mier 1833-1866. Would love to share information.
