No relation or connection. Just thought I might be able to help a little with your Midgley line.
Charles Midgley married Ann HEWITT in 1867 in Leeds.
I can send marriage ref details if you wish + the PRO address if you want to order their marriage cert.
Charles Midgley died in 1899 aged 57. Death registered in Bramley.
I did some further checking on Ann Hewitt and found her in the 1861 census with her parents James and Sarah Hewitt.
I believe that Ann was born in the Sept Qtr of 1847 in Armley. Armley comes under the Reg Disc't of Hunslet.
I believe Ann was the daur of James Hewitt and Sarah WAITE who married in Leeds in 1845.
Ann age 13 in 1861 had siblings=
Henry.9
Wallace.7
Walter.4
and Samuel 7months acc to 1861 census.
However, to make certain the above info it might be worth your while to order a birth + marriage cert.
I believe that Charles was born in the Sept qtr of 1841 in Bradford Reg Disc't. Pudsey comes under Bradford reg disc't.
He was the son of William and Mary Ann Midgley.
Acc to the 1851 census Charles 10 had a sister Hannah Mary 6 and a sister Rebecca 3 born in Pudsey.
