J K P Middlebrook/caroline co/carmel church

I would like to know if anyone has any information on the parents of JKP Middlebrook. He was my grandfather's (Robert Middlebrook) grandfather. He lived in Caroline Co. by Carmel Church. JKP was buried there too according to my uncle Glen and my father Ralph. My grandmother was Mamie Middlebrook and I believe her maiden name was colson or collison. I am not having much luck in finding info on JKP other than he was a private in the 19th infantry company c in the Civil War and he was born 1847. His wife was Mary and they had children by the names of Mary, Lewis and James. His wife was born in 1846. The daughter Mary was born in 1876 and Lewis was born in 1869. No date of birth on James.

I would be the great-great grandaughter of JKP Middlebrook. My dad, Ralph, remembers only where JKP was buried but little else.

Any help would be appreciated.
