Seeking additional information on the following family. John Meikle married Jane/Jean Cassidy in Scotland, in 1834. They had 7 children between 1836 & 1849 (John Jr., James, Robert, Hugh, Jean, Sarah, & Agnes). Sarah died circa 1850. John emigrated to the USA/NYC in 1849 with his 2 eldest sons. Jane followed in 1851 with all the rest, except Sarah. The family appears in the 1860 census in Philadelphia as the Micheals. All except James & Robert. Plus in addition are 4 new children (William, Jessie, Andrew, & Mary). James "Mickle" is found in the records of Conewago Chaple in Adams County in 1860 where in was baptized & married Mary Hein. Robert "Mickle" is missing in the 1860 census but appears again in Philadelphia in the 1870 census. Hr later moves to York, York County, PA, where he dies in 1890. Agnes & John "Mickle" appear in the 1870 census in Luzern Countyt, PA. John & Jane "Mickle" are living alone in Philadelphia in 1870 and no records can be found of the 4 youngest children after 1860. Hugh "Mickle" appears in the 1880 & later census in Philadelphia.
