Lawrence,
I am not able to help you with new information on your George Chester Mick, but I can provide you some information on the George A Mick that you referenced in your posting.
George Asbury Mick was born June 11, 1832, in Highland County, OH, and died January 24, 1913, in Lebo, Coffee County, KS.He married Mary Ann Rolf on January 1, 1852, in Wrightsville, Adams County, OH.His parents were George Mick, born 1796 in Northhampton, Virginia, and Ruth Kidd. The senior George Mick died in 1852 in Pike County, OH, and is buried in Sinking Spring, Highland County, OH.
George Asbury Mick was residing in Morgan County, IL, in 1860.He enlisted in the 101st Illinois Volunteer Infantry Regiment in 1862.George A Mick did live in Clay County, MO, after the Civil War.
Hopefully the information will help you in connecting your George Chester Mick to the Mick line in Ohio and Virginia.
