Arthur Samuel Michel, for the
last twenty-four years associated
with the chemical house of Innis
Spieden & Co., 117 Liberty Street,
died yesterday of a heart attack
at his home, 283 Marlborough
Road, Brooklyn. He was 64 years

Mr. Michel was born in Brooklyn,
son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis
Michel. For seventeen yeras he had
been secretary and treasuer of the
old A. D. Porter Publishing Com-
pany. He was a member of the Old
Guard of the Prospect Branch
Y. M. C. A., the Royal Arcanum
and the Flatbush Congregational

He leaves a widow, Laura Olm-
sted Michel, and two daughters,
Mrs. Joseph Searing, Jr. of Brook-
lyn and Mrs. Richard K. Parker of
