I’m searching for the descendants of Jean-Baptiste MICHEL and Julie BISSON, married at Gentilly, Quebec in 1832. One of their daughters, Julie MICHEL, married Silas Robitaille in Wotton, Quebec (1865) and subsequently moved to Penetanguishene, Ontario. Julie MICHEL’s 9 siblings seemed to have remained in southern Quebec (Eastern Townships). We know that some never married while others married but had no children. But 5 (Cyrille, Aldorique, Victor, Philomène and Onésime) did marry and presumably have descendants who may still be living in Quebec.
What I have so far is posted on my web site as a chart:
The Julie MICHEL – Silas ROBITAILLE line is much more advanced and can be seen at:
The entire site (with some 20 charts) can be accessed from this address:
I would appreciate any help anyone can provide. Please respond either by posting on this forum or by sending me an e-mail: ymaurice@NRCan.gc.ca
