Hi Ken
In the 1880 US Federal census records both Andrew and George list their birth as 'Germany'. I have been able to track Andrew as emigrating from Germany through the port of Bremen, on the ship HERMINE under the command of J.B. Cornelis, arriving in New York on April 22, 1852.
Andrew married Julia A. Schaffer (b. July 15, 1835 in Germany) in 1857 and they settled in LeRoy, New York; they had ten children.
I have some of the same information on George, and less details on Amandus.
I am trying to find their place of origin in Germany and their parents names ........ can you help ??

Thanks .... Ed Winterkorn
