I am looking for siblings/parents of Phillip Adam MICHEL, b.1855 in Germany, came to America "in his early years," d. 1943 in St. Clair Co., Illinois. I am told, but have not been able to verify, that he is the son of John (Johann)and Elizabeth FUHR MICHEL. According to his obituary, two brothers and two sisters (names unknown) preceded him in death. St. Clair Co., Ill, Naturalization Index, 1816-1905, p. 26, compiled by Robert Buecher shows a John MICHEL to St. Clair County in 1860.
Many thanks for checking to see if any of this matches information in your book on Michels from Germany.

Carol
