Hi Melanie,
I am also descended from Jacques Michel dit St Michel and Catherine Commeau through my Grandmother Rose-Anna Becotte. Becotte is a dit name for two of the sons of your first Joseph's brother Pierre who married Anne Guilbeau 26 NOV 1731 in Port Royal. These two, Jean-Baptiste and Joseph Michel dit Bécot seem to have gone to Quebec and I am not sure if they went through Massachusetts on the way.

Where did you get the information that Jacques' parents were François St. Michel and Madeleine Germon??? I have only been able to find that Jacques came from Normandy. Any further information would be appreciated.
Regards,
Mike Sevigny
