THERE ARE A LOT OF MICHELS ON THIS SERIES OF FILMS IN THE BERN AREA.
ELIZABETHA MICHEL, DAU. OF JOHANNES MICHEL & MARGARETHA HAESLER:
Film 2005440, (author) Evangelisch-Reformierte Kirche, Gsteig bei Interlachen. KIRCHENBUCH, Taufen 1795-1829 (Additional interpretations by Swiss Genealogist).
2 May 1813, page 193, Line item 48. Elizabetha born 29 April - Ehelich (legitimate) Geb.(geboren--born) 29th April to Johannes Michel, am Schûtz ûnd Lütschenthal (am Schûtz= of place in Lütschenthal*) ûnd Margaretha Hãsler. Test: (Latin testes or testis) Samûel Stoller, Mariti Affinis (Latin related by marriage) aûs Lütschenthal; Margaretha Füngi geb. Michel, Mariti Soror; Indidem (Latin of the same place):
Margaretha Mütschhart geb. Kräÿenbühl allg. Landmäñin (meaning she has citizenship in all Switzerland) Sasshart (residing in) Bûrglaûenen.
*Comment from Genealogist: Because the lower case "u" and "n" are written alike, the upside down smile is put over the "u" to differentiate it. (Paf4 did not have the upsidedown smile, so I used what I could find. Ed).
