Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

YOUR MICHAL COULD BE ON FILM 2005440, TAUFEN 1795-1829 EVANGELISH-REFORMIERTE KIRCHE, GSTEIG, bei INTERLAKEN, BERN. or FILM 2005441.

There were many Michals (could be Michel or change to Michel) on a whole set of films. I have one of those films on file (indefinite) at the local FHL and will try to find time to search for that specific date. One of my 'cousins' went to Switzerland to visit the archives.

If you decide to work on these films, you may want the assistance of a person fluent in German (helps) and some reference materials, one in particular: Thode, Ernest. GERMAN ENGLISH GENEALOGICAL DICTIONARY, Genealogical Pub. Co.,Baltimore, 1992. And, I can send you a couple of e-mail sheets. Also, the FHL has a pamphlet on German records which is very helpful.
