Dear Joe,
I am a descendant of Paulus Michael as follows:

Paulus, Henry, Casper, Jared, Elijah Grant, Jesse, Sherwood, Eleanor = me.

I have not found anything about the descendants of Paulus being in the Civil War. I know that both Henry and Casper were in the Revolutionary War. Jared was born Oct 9, 1792 and came out to Oregon in 1847 and died in 1873 here in Oregon so I don't think he was involved in the war.

Sounds like you have some good stories about the Michaels. I have a few, also.

Have you ever heard the story of why the Michaels came to America?

Eleanor
