Descendants of Paulus in Civil War?
Posted by: Joe McGuire Date: May 04, 2001 at 12:37:08

I am descended from Paulus Michael 1708-1768 as follows:

Paulus->Henry->Paul->James->Simeon->Joseph->George->Newton->Margaret Ann (my mother).

Has anyone compiled a Civil War roster for Michaels and associated Marion County men? I have some family stories about Joseph Michael being sent to POW Camp Chase in OH after bolting for Richmond toward the end of the war, and other tails about his wife Martha Ann Clark's brothers and father fighting on both sides at Gettysburg - no proof of course.
