I have a John Michael, Sr. m. to Catherine Thankbonden in Louden County, VA, December, 1787. John's father was Phillip Jacob Michael m. to Anna Margaretta ?. According to 1850 census, John was born in New Jersey and by 1810 had relocated to Allegany County (Garrett County) MD from Louden County.

While I don't think our Phillips are the same person, I'm wondering if there might be a connection....does any of this sound familiar?

Denise Michael
