Hi,

Yes, there's a "connection" but thru the MICHAEL'S....

My lines are thru the "first" marriage of Samuel MICHAEL, SR. to Appellonia (KNERR) and upon her death then he remarried Elizabeth (BROCIOUS) HUNGER / SHAFFER.
Yes, she was married twice so this was her third marriage to my GG Grandpa. And not a "happy one" so I have been told, by none other than descendants of Amos Grant Michael's children, quote" She was a "holy terror!" They separated in which Census records sort of prove that. She had children to all three marriages! And incidentally, the one marriage to the SHAFFER does connect in thru some of my other ancestral roots!

Amos Grant MICHAEL whom you mentioned is a result of the second marriage of Samuel. Have you not heard the "horse story" about him as a child?? [ They are buried in Windy Hill Cemetery off Rte. 536 along Roller Coaster Road as our some of the children & mates] You'll have to speak to your Aunt Mary, if alive yet. Never heard the chicken coop story. Not necessarily mental illness for many of the MICHAEL'S suffer from Multiple Sclerosis. And on that I'm 100% convinced that it's inherited as I have two brothers (one deceased) who both had/ have M.S. And know some of Amos's families in Brookville whom have it too!

I have that Amos & wife Annie (BUFFINGTON) had 14 children. The Book gives those 14 children's names and thier mates and dates where obtainable. Also photo's of them and the home, and gravestone. However, it stops there as I only tracked my "ancestral roots" lines to present day generations and as it was ended up being 714 pages thick! Good project for you since you're "beginning" and mine is the results of 35 years doing Genealogy!

The Family Genealogy has been published. So, I've a few copies left if you're interested the Volume they are in is 714 pages thick. You've read nothing dear cousin until you've read this Genealogy...all the "juicy" stuff and "gossip" is included such as the "Great wild west show!" that happened in my G. Grandpa, Samuel, Jr's home when he was "attempted" to be robbed!! Newspaper articles, photo's of actual bullet holes, [yes shots were fired!] actual court papers, papers of those sent to jail, etc. all are contained within this hard-back bound book in dark blue with gold stamped lettering. The terminalogy used in papers years ago makes one laugh! And so happens my "own" grandmother was the "one" whom the shots were fired at....want to know "rest of story," as a book report would say, & news comentator - "buy the book!"

I assume you'll be wanting a copy, if so e-mail me "pronto" as they are "going" "going" "gone" on a first-come basis and "NO" there will not be a reprint what I've been thru with the Printers!! Enough spoken.
