I am just now reading your post, Carol. I know it is over 2 yrs old, but here goes.

Lemuel's father was Archibald Michael, who was my gggg gf.
Archibald's children, Thomas, Lemuel, Joseph, Stanley and Lucy Ann, were in Rutherford County, Tenn., in the early 1800's, having moved there from Va. Thomas (my line), Lemuel and Lucy Ann were all married in Rutherford Co., Tn.
I can trace Thomas, Lucy Ann and Lemuel, but can find no record of the two other boys.
From Rutherford Co., Tn. (south of Nashville), they moved to Hickman Co., Ky. which is the western-most county, over by the Mississippi River. In the 1850 Hickman Co., Ky census Archibald is living in the hh of his daughter in law, Millie, who is head of hh. He is 76, b 1774 in Virginia.
In Hickman Co. death records he died in 1854. A search on ancestry.com shows that he died in Boyd, Ky. This is a mistake on ancestry's part. Boyd should be Bayo, short for a local creek.
A few weeeks ago I did a search in google books,

"archibald+michael"+kentucky

and found an ad from 1989 magazine offering $100 reward for someone who could prove who Archibald's wife was. After searching further, I discovered that this gentleman died in Fl., in 1994. Hope this helps, I have been searching for Archibald's ancestors for about 15 years now.
