Widow of Andrew G. Fager, Melissa (Michael Kennedy) Fager, b June 1844 IN, and son Joseph Fager, b June 1880 IL, are in the 1900 census near Puxico, Duck Creek Twp, Stoddard Co. MO (ED 123, sheet 16). She is also listed as a widow in the 1890 Veterans Census in Stoddard Co. In 1880, Andrew, Melissa and son Charles O. age 4, are in Dongola, Union Co., IL. They reportedly also had a son George but the 1900 census indicates 7 children, only 1 still alive. She reportedly died 16 June 1901. Andrew applied for a Civil War pension in IL perhaps 1884 (date unclear) based on service in C 105 PA Inf. and Melissa applied for widows pension apparently 1890 MO.
Would like additional information about the family:
When and where did Andrew die?
What happened to Joseph?
What were the names of the other children and when and where were they born and died?
Is the death date for Melissa correct and where was she buried?
