I am looking for information on the mother of Jessie F Hixson b 1902 in Missouri. She married Wm G Tyla on 10 June 1920 in Detroit, Wayne Co., MI.
On their marriage record [from FamilySearch's pilot site] Jessie's parents were listed as Chas A Hixson and Matilda Moberley.
I have found Chas and Matilda on censuses for 1900, 1910 in Missouri, and 1920 in Wayne Co., MI. On the 31st of December, 1921, Wayne Co., MI,Charles married a second time to Elizabeth Elizabeth F. Heeger Sauerhage and they are listed on the 1930 census.
I would like to know if anyone knows what happened to Matilda. Did she die? or did they divorce?
The parents of Matilda Moberley Hixson are a mystery. According to the 1900 census she was born Nov 1896 in Missouri, with parents listed as born in Illinois. I have been unable to locate her on the 1880 census. I would like very much to identify Matilda's parents.
