The 1856-7 Detroit City Directory has one person that matches your name:

Pearsall, Cornelius, pump and block maker, 45 Sixth. Cornelius is listed in 1861 at 39 Locust, same name at 342 Thompson.

1872 Directory:

Pearsall, Oscar, lab, h 172 Mullet
Pearsall, William, Clerk, bds 380 Fort w.

1882:

Pearsall, Cornelius, blockmkr, 29 Atwater e, h 323 Congress w
Pearsall, Joseph, barrels, h 173 German
Pearsall, Wm. A., shipping clk Belknap & Drake, h 309 Congress w.
"Pearsall, see also Piersall" (but no Piersall's listed)
