Trying to find Benjamin Franklin (Harrison) Smith who m. Lucy Willson in Porter, Van Buren Co., Mich. He and his family were on a 1852 wagon train and settled in Oregon. My interest is his birthplace and family in New York. Censuses say b. N.Y.(that's all.)
Smith and N.Y. are a hard nut to crack. Think you can help? I have marriage record, and Lucy's father George's petition from Microfilm Reed # 282, File #294, who d. 9 Aug 1856, mentioned Lucy Smith. Appreciate, Iola
