Walter,
According to what I have, it states that Lavina Marie Musser was born abt 14 Feb 1811 in Pensylvania which I received from Don Smith. Though, according to the Michigan 1880 Census in Shiawassee County, I'm noticing that it also states that she was born in Maryland. I don't have the actual document, so you might want to obtain a copy of the Michigan, 1880 Census record in Shiawassee County. I received this as secondary information from Don Smith. Do you know him?
I was sent pictures of the headstones of Lavina and her husband, James Craven. I had a chance to go to Michigan in the fall of 1996 where Don Smith took me to the cemeteries where many of the Cravens were burried.
The information regarding the American natives is news to me. I would like to know what information you have on it. The Secords who married into the Craven family is suspected to have either the Huron, or Iroquois. From researching, I have detected it to be the Mohawk tribe, who were part of the Iroquois (Six Nations) tribe in northern and western part of the state of New York.
There's more that I would like to inquire about and share. If it's okay, I find it efficient to correspond through the General Forum to eliminate having to repeat the same information to others. Though you can write to me at my email address, if you wish. I appreciate your response, either way.
Susan A. Craven
