As a hobby, I rescue old photos that have identification on them. I've picked up three, that came to me from an auction. The first one is: Lucetta THROOP. She's an older lady with white hair, pulled back up into a bun. I don't find her anywhere from 1930 on in the census, so this was taken pre-1930. She wears wire rim specs and is standing outside. She's found in the Sciota Twp. Shiawassee Co. MI census. The second one is Mildred THROOP. I was a bit mixed up at first when I was trying to connect her to Lucetta. I kept coming across a Mildred who was married to Warren. (Warren was a son to Lucetta.) HOWEVER, in the 1930 census, I've determined that Lucetta's son Warren, was living with is brother Everett & his wife, Mildred K. THROOP. (Not the Warren who was married to a Mildred). These are all in the Michigan census. The third photo-Tom ROBINSON, father of Mildred THROOP. I also had a hard time with this one, until I located Mildren who was married to Everett. The census shows her age, uear of birth and indicates she was born in Arkansas. SO-I checked the 1900 census, and sure enough-Thomas was living there with his wife & children, including Mildred, who was born in the right year to be the Mildred who was later married to Everett THROOP. My goal is to connect with family to send these original treasures to. For details, contact me at: digginroots@yahoo.com Kathy Notify Administrator about this message?
