I am interested in any information about our great grandfather, Wallace Gleason,b. about 1869-1871, who married Ella Ferris 25 July 1890, in Shiawassee County. He farmed in Antrim Township. The only other record I have of him is the 1900 census from Vernon, Shiawassee, where he and Ella are listed with 3 sons, Frank, George (our grandfather), and Leo. Wallace listed Philander Gleason as his father, and mother unknown on his record of marriage. There was a Philander Gleason in Shiawassee County, married to Ruth Reynolds, both from New York. Ruth died in 1870, and Philander is listed with a infant son named Philander, of whom there is no further record. I have wondered whether Wallace and Philander could be the same person. If anyone has any information about these surnames or research ideas, I would so appreciate a response!
