I am looking to find someone who knew of GEORGE VERN (or VERNON)BAKER, born Nov. 23, 1901 to LAWRENCE BAKER & LILLIAN "LILLIE" SEELER in St. Joseph Co. IN and died Sept. 3, 1997 - all information we have found leads us to believe Laingsburg, Shiawassee Co. MI, was his last known place of residence. This man would be my husband's biological father who was married to KATHERINE MCKENZIE during the late 1920's and into 1931. They divorced in 1934 in St. Joseph County, IN. George and Katherine also had one other son, GERALD WAYNE "JERRY" BAKER who died in Aug. 2002 in Abilene, TX with burial at the Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery who remained in his mother's household - the baby, RAYMOND FRANCIS BAKER (my husband)was given up for adoption in Dec. 1931, wishing to give him a better life than she believed she could provide to him. KATHERINE MCKENZIE BAKER HEARRELL died in June 2002 in Abilene, TX with burial in Chandler, AZ.
