Seeking information on the family of John and Mary Ranciman/Rancyman etc. who lived in Sciota twp., Shiawassee co., MI on 1850 census, 1860 census, 1870 census; on 1880 census John was living as a boarder in Ovid, Clinton co., MI with D.B. Proper and family---he was 76 b. NY. On the 1850 census the Ranciman family had living with them <Electia C./Electa O. Austin aged 9 yrs. b. MI. I'd sure like to know if she was related to the Rancimans or just living with them at the time. John Ranciman/Rancyman was a Justice of the Peace on 1870 census. John and Mary had at least one son, Charles b. 1859 or so MIch. Thank you so much.
