Hi need some help with some land deeds

.....Sw quarter of section 10 in twp 10 north of range 16 east.

......sw quarter of section 10 in twp 10 north of range 16 east containg in all 120 acres

Ive been told the homestead was in the lake.
and someone else told me the original homestead was burned down in 1881.
