Thanks, Beccy. Problem is that she died in Oregon in 1921. I've since learned that the family moved from Michigan sometime between 1840 and 1850. In 1850 they were living in Illinois, in 1860 in Minnesota. There may, however, been family left behind in Michigan because Harriet returned there from Minnesota in 1867 to marry my greatgrandfather Marquis Mosher. So thanks for the offer but I don't know what I'd be telling you to look for that wouldn't be a wild goose chase! That is . . . unless you run onto a Rev. John Adams somewhere who had a daughter named Catherine/Katheryne who was born c. 1812. Sorry, can't be more precise than that.
